OPAL is comprised of small spheres, formed when silica-rich water seeps into deep cracks in the Earth’s crust.  These spheres cause the stone to diffract light, resulting in many beautiful colors.  In the Middle Ages, opal was considered a stone that could provide great luck.  It is October’s birthstone, along with tourmaline and a stone to celebrate the 14th anniversary of marriage.

Opals are often associated with balancing emotions, and to us, they represent mental health awareness.
